Thai Kona Gold (TKG) (Pure sativa) crossed with Barney Berry (BB) (pure Indica hash-plant). This unlikely cross of the most extreme of the phenotypes in our reserve is an F-1 hybrid and will show you many different phenotypes in the seedlings produced. We are offering this to you for your breeding pleasure, as you will be able to make many nice selections from the variety of plant growth patterns that you will see. We are in the process of refining this new variety, and will further refine the resulting plant types by selectively breeding for the traits that emerge. We have found that the huge height of the KTG is one trait that we have found and selected for our F-2 generation in the making (see photo example), and have found individuals who have tight buds as found in the BB (see photo example). We do also seek strains from this combination that result in the incredibly frosty buds of the TKG (when finished to perfection) found on individuals that mature faster than the incredibly slow-to-finish TKG. Our work with this strain is ongoing.

This offering is best for experienced breeders who seek fresh genetics with which to experiment. Novice or recreational growers will also enjoy the products of this seed pack, no doubt, with the variety of plants seen as a result.

Because this is an F-1 from opposite ends of the Sativa-Indica spectrum, our price point is low. Once we stabilize the expected phenotypes and create new cultivars then our pricing will increase.

Israel has a government-run Cannabis research program. One of the workers defected, moved to Hawaii, and provided us with 3 seeds directly from this government program. Only one seed grew to maturity…a male. In order to match the characteristics as best as we could, given that the Israeli strain was high CBD and low THC, we bred him to our old-school Puna Sativa, which we simply refer to as Old School (OS for short). The Old School was never a favorite due to its low THC content, and, come to find out later, higher than average (but still low, comparatively with the high-THC strains) CBD content. The result is this unique blend of Sativa with perhaps a hint of indica somewhere in the distant past.

Expect tall Sativa plants that produce relatively low THC levels (perhaps 10% to 12%), and CBD in the 2% range. Enjoy this as it is, or engage in selective breeding for the traits that you desire.

Huge heirloom jungle hybrid from East End Moloka'i crossed with our long-time favorite Barney Berry. The Jungle weed grew out as large, healthy, moderately potent weed. Gifted to me by a family from East End Moloka'i`who has been growing it for generations, we have improved this strain by crossing it with the hash-plant Barney Berry. So far the blend is both large and moderately potent. The high yield of this plant compensates for the moderate THC content. Though not tested yet, we suspect that there is a CBD content as well.

Our Thai Black Dog back-crossed to the Thai Kona Gold. 85% Thai, 15% Indica, the dark pigmentation is less noticeable in this F-1 product. Thai tested at 21% THC

Kush obtained from a nebulous source in 2008 combined with double white-widow, then mixed with Barney Berry and then bred with an old-school Puna sativa that remains with no name so we know it as “Old School”. Bred to produce loose buds (the better to repel high humidity issues) from the Mark’s Widow, high potency from the Mark’s Widow and the Barney Berry, and the height and Sativa effects from the Old School.
